Deteriorating Paint
Before a lead dust inspection ALL paint must be intact. There can be no peeling, chipping, flaking, or deterioraing paint on any interior or exterior surfaces. The inspection fails if defective paint is found.
Avoid the following:

Chipping paint on handrail

Peeling paint on railing

Deteriorating paint on steps

Flaking paint on brick wall

Flaking paint on radiator

Chipping paint in window well

Peeling paint on door stop

Flaking paint in common hall

Steel lintel chipping paint

Peeling paint on deck

Peeling paint on garage door

Deteriorating paint on rake board
